The Cars universe is confusing. We know from Planes that there was a Cars WWII, so everything else must have its own Cars equivalent. What happened before cars were invented? Was Ford a god? Or did they evolve from horses/carriages? We know there were tanks, so when they were invented during WWI was it like a new species? Would the tanks just be normal infantry? Whenever a new car model was invented, was it like a new race? Wait. Boats were around before cars, and we know there were sentient boats. Would the first person who ever built a boat be God?
