I'm here to complain about the population of the website dwindling and how I think that problem can be fixed. This site is legit about one year from being dead almost completely. I remember when games would fill so fast that the entire first page of a lobby would be full of games still filling and everything was complete chaos thus making lobbys have a purpose, but, I came back a few years later and about three games would be filling at a time with many games being played. Now, there is about one game filling and it takes an hour to fill sometimes. Lucid didn't do a bad job picking sandbox mods, but, I can't say the same for main lobby which merged with training and was a sign that the site was losing popularity. I saw this happen when I was in main lobby trying to get a trophy on my first account long long ago, when very active and pleasant community members began leaving the website because they felt the main lobby staff was being too abusive. This is legit the first team of staff members I'v seen not completely abuse their powers. This staff abuse really has hurt the quality of the community and wasn't necessary, but, here is what I believe can be done to fix the population of the website.
Solution
Enable "guest accounts" that don't have to register and get automatically deleted after a certain period of time while having access to a profile that has some features until the account is registered to enable all the features. This will make it easy for me to host games and tell my friends on other websites and forums to join those games without them having to make an account. Obviously they shouldn't be allowed to play in a game that they can get banned from if they haven't made an account yet, thus only allowing them to play non ranked games and maybe host non ranked games.
Give people random "default avatars" for those guest accounts. This will prevent avatar discrimination to some degree. While you're at it, give these guest accounts random names as well. Make it look like they are a real account, but, they are only temporary. When the site begins gaining enough traffic, you can change things against to adjust to the traffic, but, keep these systems in place because they will work wonders on the site.
Advertise to the youth. The biggest group of people who will be influenced the most by this game is the younger generation. People who play other games like trouble in terrorist town, space station 13, and games of that nature will play this game just as I have because the community is actually to some degree good. Sandbox is the most important core of the way I believe people should behave on the site because it is secretly positive under the surface.
Competitive community is very toxic and the game is, let's face it, easy to cheat in. Anybody can chat in any other game and give away their identity without ever having to be proven to have metagamed. Anybody who uses tampermonkey is going to likely contribute to a botnet of cheating behind the scenes. As such, make tampermonkey software "claims" common features on the site. This will prevent players who know how to code in javascript from forcing players to vote someone they didn't want to vote. This will make the site more enjoyable because players can play revolver games and things like that in the sandbox game modes without having to worry about using those same features in ranked games or training games.
Competitive has had the largest negative impact on the community because for them it's all about "the image" they have more so than the community. Because of this, if someone doesn't get a trophy they basically report everybody they can until someone gets banned along the way. Trophies should thus be revamped. Here is how. Get rid of the "icon" of a trophy and instead, replace it with a profile note that looks very similar to a profile violation. Because the narcissist in competitive games have damaged the population of the site so much, they will be hurt if they can't look good and thus the trophy being converted to a violation note would make trophy holders look like trouble makers, thus, every time someone suggest to get rid of the "trophy note", everybody can see who the toxic competitive players are. They are "toxic" because their narcissistic behavior is what causes them to value the image of the trophy more so than having the trophy itself.
