A. Interpret the data you collected on earthquakes and volcanic activity this week. Does this data refute or support plate tectonic theory? Why?

B. Is there a difference between earthquakes and volcanoes in terms of what type of plate boundary they occur at?

I could not care less about geology, it's a gen ed. Please give me some key points I can turn into an essay and I'll love you forever

Also, I am attempting the Putnam challenge, a difficult and analytical math test that has answers that you gotta think outside of the box for.

Question 0: Say 2 baseball teams are equally likely to win a game, and they compete against a 7 game World Series with no ties allowed, 4 win majority. Is the World Series more likely to end after the 6th game or 7th game?

My friend and I attempted this problem. He is a computer geek, and he was able to come up with a Binary sequence of every possible combination of wins, and he noticed that 34 of the 62 permutations allowed it to be 7 games, and that 18 of them allowed it to be 6 games, so he said 7. But, he was wrong.

I thought a little bit outside of the box. I noticed that the outcome of the 7th game didn't matter regardless. So I made all 38 binary combinations of his permutations, and put it in a coinflip scenario. I took each set of unique 6 binary digits possible, and I noticed that 20 of them had 4 and 2 of one or the other (representing game end after 6 games), and 18 3:3 combos (for 7th game), meaning it is more likely to end after the 6th game.

This is the type of deception that this challenge causes. Total time on this problem: 25 minutes.

Hello guys, this is your favorite local mastermind troll of 2017, Jacob "DatGuiser" Thunder [REDACTED], and today I got into a calculus class and that stuff is actually understandable. So this means you can ask me for help with math homework.

Buuuuuuuuttttttt, I can't pm on this account or jacobalt0523 because they are now unverified accounts. And my Orienteering account is banned (past unban date). So blame the mods for me not being able to help out with your math homework.

Bowens reaction series is about how certain minerals form at certain temperatures

on the chart, it shows a split bc it gives a distinct distribution of the same elements to both sides.

it is a distribution of the elements oxygen, aluminum, silicon, magnesium, and beryllium (main gemstone elements), as well as calcium, potassium, sodium, and iron (minerals) to make more complex minerals such as Olivine (peridot), and pyroxenes (silicates) on one side, and then sodium and potassium and calcium rich things on the other side. At lower heating temperatures around 800C, they form orthoclase, muscovite (schist), and imbalanced quartz varieties.
